The May Day Parade in Fort Langley

Bring the whole family out to historic Fort Langley to check out the annual May Day Parade on Monday, May 18th. The 93rd annual event is held every year on Victoria Day, with fun and events all day long. After the parade, take your kids to check out the awesome rides, enjoy a round of mini golf or have a picnic at the park. Don’t forget to check out the awesome craft and food vendors and live entertainment!

Night Markets Around the Lower Mainland

There are 3 awesome night markets in Vancouver you should check out this year. The Richmond Summer Night Market, the International Summer Night Market, and the North Vancouver Night Market are all running through May Long Weekend.

The Richmond Summer Night Market has become a staple summer activity for many local Vancouverites. Open all Fridays to Sunday’s through until September, this night market is quite popular and can get quite busy later in the evenings. Try to get in early, and expect a bit of a lineup. Don’t forget to check out the great live entertainment and rides for your kids!

Also open Fridays to Sundays weekly, the International Summer Market is widely known for its unique and adventurous food booths. Here you can try lots of unique ethnic foods, and check out the flurries of vendor booths for unique products, artisan crafts and more.

The North Vancouver Night Market, open Fridays only, weekly until the fall is another great market to check out this May long weekend. This market is also completely free, so bring the whole family out! Check out the live entertainment, the 15 food trucks, or walk around and check out the one hundred vender booths available. If you’re a foodie this is definitely the place for you!

The Cloverdale Rodeo

Running May 15th – 18th, the Cloverdale Rodeo is another fun, family-friendly activity. With 5 rodeo performances, including bull and bronc riding, as well as barrel racing and bareback riding, you can check out the some of the world’s top Cowboys and cowgirls in action. If rodeo events aren’t your thing, there’s still tons of activities for you and the family to enjoy. Check out the 35 amusement park rides, live skateboarding competition, delicious food vendors, incredible live performances, and stop by the “Longhorn Saloon” for a drink or two. You’re sure to wear the kids out after a long day at the rodeo!
